Hello Crafters!
Finally it is friday! Today we have the second challange over CAS-UALCHIC! Last month theme was "Embossing" and you can check out the card I made right HERE.

This month theme is : PRETTY PATTERNS!

What does it mean? In this challenge we want to celebrate pretty patterns. That could be patterened paper, a pattern stamp such as chevrons, houndstooth, etc or even stamping your own pattern. Just use your imagination and creativity.
As last month, the rules for this challange are easy peasy. You do not have to use CAS-UAL FRIDAYS STAMPS or DIES to take part of the challange (although of course we would LOVE to see how to use them!)...anyway, you can read the rules HERE.

REMEMBER that you can always take part of the CAS challange that you will find at this link (the monthly theme is the same ad this one)

Here's the card I made...
To create my background I used stamps from the CALM AND LOVING stamp set, I just LOVE this circle of scattered hearts!
Both the background and stamped images are made with SILKS ACRYLIC GLAZE by ColourArte.

The sentiment is another stamp from the same set CALM AND LOVING, and again I stamped it with Silk Acrylic Glaze first and then with Archival Ink.

I glued some tissue wrap paper and some mesh in the background to create texture.

And of course I had to add the random stitches!

Hello Crafters!

Few days ago I was over CAS-ual Fridays Stamp's blog - I love this shop, they have amazing stamps and dies that goes so well with my mixed media cards! Finally I was able to upload the video over YouTube as FinalCut was keeping crashing duh! Thank you for the patience!

I made this card today using only one awesome color : YELLOW!

Utterly Adorable Layers Challenge!

Hello Crafters!
Few days ago, over the brand new blog CAS-UALCHIC it launched our first challange!

This blog is not really "new", but is a "branch" of the blog CAS-UAL FRIDAYS STAMPS, that had its own challange blog where to take part of it, you had to create a CAS card.
In fact, this brand of stamps is due to the passion of "CAS" (Clean and Simple) style of the owner Michele. Despite her huge love for CAS, Michele has also a passion for what she calls "Utterly Adorable Layers" .... and so...she started this brand new blog where all the mixed media lovers are very welcome to join!!
She wanted to expand the possibilities of participation in hers challange to those who just likes to mess around a little when it comes to backgrounds, cards or any creations!

This month theme is : EMBOSSING!

There are not strictly rules and you don't have to use any CAS-UAL FRIDAYS STAMPS products (but wouldn't it be adorable to see these CAS stamps and dies over MixMedia projects???) , you can read how to take part of the challange just HERE.

JUST REMEMBER that there is ALWAYS the CAS CHALLANGE and you can take part of that challange if you prefer, by clicking HERE (the theme is the same!

Here's the card I created...

I used the stamp set " IN THE CARDS " - I stamped the background with Versamark and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I used dylusions spray ink to create that bright red background (yes I know it kinda looks creepy LOL!) Then I grabbed the sewing machine and added some stitching here and there, finally added my sentiment over a white strip of paper...that was supposed to stay clean white...but you know me, i work with dirty hands...so I stained the top corner with some red from the background!

Give me GOLD LOVE.

Hello Crafters!
Today I want to show you two small projects I made with the same stamp set!
The stamp set I have used is from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and you can find both stamp set and die set :

- CUPID'S ARROWS SET (die set coordinato : Heart Board Fri Dies)

I created a really easy card by adding with a dry brush a bit of acrylic paint. I stamped the stamp set with versamark ink and then covered it with gold embossing powder and heat set it with the heat gun.

I did the same thing for the small tag, but I applied first red acrylic paint and then white acrylic paint. Stamped the heart in "half" , the sentiment with versamark again and then I covered it with gold embossing powder and heat set it.

Today I want to show you my take on the third of four days of release over the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Blog.

For this card, I used Radiant Gels by Colourarte and I stamped the flower and sentiment with Archival Ink. I colored the flower also with Radiant Gels Olive Vine and I darkened the edges with black gesso.

Today I want to show you my take on the second day of release over the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Blog.

The first stamp set, called "Sassy Smiles" is full of encouragement sentiments, the second one "Whole shebang" is perfect for both birthday card or everyday cards and lastly the dies "Fun-Fetti Fri-dies" that is so adorable and great for shaker cards!

I only used stamps set for this release but over the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog you can admire all the cards that my team mates make head over here : Sneak Peek day 2

For my card I used Twinkling H20s and Iridiscent Earth Safe Finishes by Ann Butler. The sentiment is stamped over a piece of cardstock and covered with Glossy Accents. The sentiment on the background is stamped with Versamagic and covered with Vodka Sparkle WOW Embossing Powder.

This is the second release of the year and as always our Michele created some outstanding stamps sets and fri-dies!

Breathe

Hello Crafters!
Today is a card day! I want to show you a card I made using the amazing stamps from CAS-ual fridays.

For the background of my card I used different spray inks, I let the color mix and the color palette I choose was greenish and blueish. I let it dry and then I darkened up the borders using distress ink black soot.
I used Archival Ink to stamp the Zigs and Zags stamp, I wanted to add some movement but since the background was busy already I opted for a not so clean stamp, as you can see I stamped just few random parts of the Zig Zag.

I added through a layering stencil by Tim Holtz some Texture paste from Ranger.

With the sewing machine I stitched the sentiment to the top of the background, as you can see I used a zig zag theme aswell! To balance it off I decided to stitch the bottom part of the card aswell.
The sentiment is from the collection Breathe.

Love and Blessing

Hello Crafters!
This is a really grey weekend here at Scrapsaurus Studio, this because I have been sick with fever and Bronchitis that it make even more pleasant the twenty layers of quilt that I wrapped my self in, but not so pleasant my voice that sounds like a living dead voice! LOL

Anyway.....

Today I show you a card I made for the amazing blog CAS-ual Fridays Stamp.
As you probably know, this blog/shop was created after the huge appreciation of CAS project -- Clean and Simple. So every time I create something I always try to follow this but I then end up following my true self and I create these cards fulls of layers and texture.
I am so happy that Michele loves to think that CAS-ual stands for CAS (clean and simple) but also UAL (utterly adorable layers) and that let me show in her beautiful blog a different use of her stamp set and dies.

For this card I used papers from my stash and Gelatos to add some color and to add some shine I used Lindy's Stamp Gang and Color Bloom by Prima Marketing.

The sentiment is part of the Wheat Wreath stamp set, meanwhile the snowflakes are from the die set Flurry. To add more shine to this card I covered the snowflakes with Glitter from Prima Marketing/Finnabair.

I really like the result of this card, maybe not so CAS but definitely a lot of UAL! :)

Truth Blooms

Hello Crafters!
Here we are again with a new release. Today over CAS-ual Fridays Stamp we are releasing a new set + die set : "Truth Blooms".
Needless to say how beautiful are these sentiments and these flowers, but there is something that I urge to tell you....and that is that I am so lucky to be in this team! The girls really made my jaw drop after I saw all their creativity! They were able to transform a simple flower die into something amazing , check them out over the blog! I was speechless!

For my little part, today I created a TAG.
I experimented a technique new to me to create the background of my TAG and I used a lot of distress ink. Flowers are colored with distress markers.
To be honest, I wanted to create a blue and yellow tag but I slightly forget that if you blend yellow and blue........here's the green! LOL Go figure!!!! hahaha

Hello Crafters,
today is the second day of the new release at CAS-ual Fridays.
This is an amazing and versatile set of dies!

For this set I made a really easy peasy card - I stamped with Versamark some quotes from the stamp set OUT LOUD which I absolute love - then with a stencil I added some special embossing paste. It is by Dreamweaver and is metallic copper. I had that embossing paste since forever!
The sentiment is from another all time favorite of mine, it is from the collection BREATHE. I seriously have no words to describe how this stamp set makes me feel -- I know it might sound weird, but hey, I am emotional like that ! LOL

Hello Crafters!
Here we are again with a new fantastic stamp/dies release branded CAS-ual Fridays Stamp
Today we start with the die set Flurry Fri-dies -- you can check out the entire release and the project that the dT girls made by clicking directly here .

With the die I made a quick home made stencil and I used it to add some modeling paste over my watercolored background.

Boo!

Hello Crafters!
even though Halloween is not really an Italian celebration, it has always fascinated me! Maybe because for several years I have had the fortune to celebrate it in the US... maybe it is because of the exaggerated presence of orange (which I loooove!), whatever is the reason... today over the CAS-ual Friday blog you will find a funny Halloween themed card!

I used the Spooky stamp set and few papers from G45 to create this interactive card. I layered few pieces of paper and I also used the stamps to decorate few circles. I used the spiderweb and the circles (always from the Spooky stamp set) to create a tone-on-tone effect and I used Versamark ink to do so.

The sentiment is a small gap that opens, and booo!!! A little ghost mounted on soft paper peeks out, and is held closed with a small magnetic strip that I applied in the layers of paper.
As the sentiment state, I also wanted to play a little and have fun bit by creating this very interactive card!

I had to adjust the camera settings to make sure you could see the few details on the paper:

Here is what I made!

I used the 4 Petal Set Fri-Dies to create butterflies. I cut the big flower first, then the little one and then I cut both of them in half. I glued one small half with one big half and I added a metallic wire to create the butterfly antennas. Isn't that a nice way to stretch your dies?!

Hello Crafters!
I am a bit late for today's blog post, but I have an intense weekend ahead of me as I am flying off to France for some awesomesauce workshops! I am always late with everything, I start with all the good intention, I write down lists, checklists, I prepare everything little detail weeks prior then....bam the last week I DO NOTHING....untill the very end when I have to leave just couple hours before my flight I start packing everything! LOL.
I am a bit crazy, but I think you learned to know me! haha

Well, then without further ado here is the card for today!
It is our 100th sketch for the team Card of Sketchalicious, so I really hope that a lot of you will take part of this sketch to thank Lara for all the sketches she provides us and to all the girls that works behind the scene to keep updated this italian sketchblog!!

For my card I used a precut base by Hero Arts and a small piece of paper that I colored with LSG spray inks. For the background I used again Ann Butler's stamp , I used 1'' Diamonds & Plaid that I find super cute -- if you want to check out the whole Ann Butler's stamp collection you can click here! . I stamped the image using gelatos and bigbrush , I decided to go for the second generation stamp as I was looking for a more pale version of my stamps.
Then I added few splashes of color here and there and some washi tape to tone down a little all this pinkish/violet color.
For the sentiment I used a stamp by CAS-ual Fridays and I used again the collection Beanstalks. I stamped the sentiment with versamark and I then embossed it with black embossing powder.
Feathers are die cuts from Kesi Arts and I added some color to them. One is covered in glitters, one with flocking and the last one is just colored with LSG sprays, Gelatos and distress ink.

Take it Make it!

This month technique to use si : Multicolored Stamp - Oldie but goldie!
My card is Fall themed because this is my favorite month and favorite season!
Stamps are by Hero Arts (leaves and background scripts) and CAS-ual Friday Stamp ( Sentiment )
To stamp i used Distress Markers -- I really am not good at coloring so this technique finally made me use the Distress Markers! I used shades of red, yellow, orange and brown!

Simply the best!

Hello Crafters!
Today I want to show you how I made this card using the Wallflower stamp set by CAS-ual Fridays Stamp!
The background is a mix between distress ink and gelatos meanwhile the sentiment is stamped with the Stampers big Brush pen black ink.
I love sentiments that are in more that one lines and this one in particular is so cute and perfect for a tag!
