Hello Crafters!
Today I want to show you a small altered canvas that I made for the challange Take It Make It sul blog di Craft Stamper.  These days I had a bad "relationship" with my Mac, I literally wanted to throw it from the window!! Nothing was working and it really made me tired and stressed.

On the top of that, part of the video has been deleted (don't ask me how this was possible as I don't know it my self either! LOL) Soooo...the video I will show you is REALLY quick and fast...but keep in mind that I am always here and available to answer all your questions. It may take me few days sometimes as I disconnect periodically from Internet to have some "me" time, but I answer as soon as possible!

Before showing you my project, it is fair that I point out that I was VERY inspired by this old project from Jen Marie Randall. She used a shoe box, I altered a small canvas.

Said this, here is what I created :

Hello Crafters!

Today over the ColourArte blog I show you how I recycled a piece of cardboard from packaging.
After taking a class with my friend Bb where se used this material as a base for her Shabby projects, I have not stopped using it!
This panel was partly inspired by the theory of "21 grams" of Duncan MacDougall.
There's a whole theory behind the veracity or otherwise of this theory, I don't know much about this but it always makes me think and, starting from this idea I created this panel ..

Hello Crafters!
Today you will find me over the Faber Castell - Design Memory Craft blog and I will show you how I altered a 8x8 '' canvas. I used two of my favorite Gelatos - Metallic Mint e Gold Champagne!

Over the Faber Castell - Design Memory Craft blog you will find a small tutorial, the full supply list as well as other pictures!


The colors I chose are not random at all, it is the same color scheme that used it the first time I did a project with Gelatos (you can see here the canvas). I was still "a noob", I still did not know them, did not know how to use them, manage them, I did not know how to fade and their huge range of use.
I could do nothing at all, but something prompted me to throw myself into using them ... and it was the desire to be reborn and the desire to be refreshed. It was a starting point in so many ways.
It opened doors, gates and even a "healing" (albeit only figurative).

I'm not good at writing, you have certainly noticed it already. I can not write about how beautiful my life or how magical my family and my close friends are. I can not tell you how much I appreciate the chance that are thrown at me or that I feel extremely delighted when a company decides to focus on me and my work. Sometimes words seem thrown to the wind and words that on the Internet (or anywhere) can be misinterpreted....

So sometimes I'm silent. I write few things that go with the blog post itself. I am very shy and people who know me, would say anything but that of me. Shyness? Zoey? But what you're saying!

They do not know. They do not know the struggle that I have inside. They do not know that my hands tremble when I have to "press enter" or when I have to present projects.

But these "They" , do they need to know? No. Not necessarily. And then I let this canvas do the talk. Which like the first painting I did using the Gelatos, marks a rebirth.

Hello Crafters!

Yes I know, I know...I still have to update my blog with some projects but.... today I have been struck by Cupid's Arrow...the artistic Cupid!

I looked at this beautiful project of Emma and I was struck!
I immediately saw in my mind what I wanted for my project ...

As every monday, over the Simon Monday Challange blog there is a brand new challange with a theme that you then have to elaborate, re-invent or simply be inspired by.
This monday's theme is : TICKET




The base of my project is the usual cardboard, the one used in packaging boxes.
I created two suitcases of different size and shape, I covered everything using the Wrap Tissue Paper Tim Holtz ...
Then I added modeling pastes using a stencil of TCW, I let it dry and then was an explosion of color....


I added so much color and so much water that at some point the board had doubled the volume. I then carefully dried around trying to take off with the paper the excess water. I heat set it a bit and then I left it air dry, in the meantime I created the cage.

Even the base of the cage was made from cardboard scraps covered by the same Wrap Tissue Paper from Tim Holtz. I added one by one the pieces of wire, it was a grind since I don't have the tools suitable to work with wire (tweezers etc etc) so I did everything with my fingers, and a couple of time I even hurt my self... LOL!


I was not looking for perfection, I knew that with my few availability of tools I wasn't going to get a perfect result with the cage ... but the whole project is a bit of "grung-ish", "wrecked-ish" and thus a cage a little crooked is fine!


I put aside the cage and then I started adding details on the two suitcases.
I glued one above the other by putting in the middle some "tickets". Some are from Stamperia (an Italian Brand) and some others are by Tim Holtz.
I also glued down a round tag from the Metal Philosophy Tags set that read "Journey" (again the theme for travel tickets).


After the suitcases were glued together I also glued down the cage. At first it seemed very empty and detached from the rest of the project, so I added another round tag that read "Wander".


The addition of flowers at the base of the cage was a suggestion of my friend Delia, and I'm really happy to have listened to her suggestion ... because the result is now complete!

Hello Crafters and Happy Sunday!
I am a bit behind with updating my blog...I need to come back on track and I am starting it by showig you the project I made today and that you can full see over the ColourArte's blog

It is a 10x10 cm canvas, I was obviously inspired by the talented Finnabair, the result is not quite as good as hers, but I tried and I am happy with the result!

I also was inspired by a tube of paint I was about to trash, this tube of paint reminded me a really awesome quote I once read on a Tim Holtz stickers, so I put it all together to alter this canvas!

Hello and happy Sunday!
Today I am over the ColourArte's Blog to show you how to use the Silks Acrylic Glaze, Primary Elements and Radiant Gels to create lighting effects, texture and so on!

As I did on one of my old post, I used again a butterfly as the focal point of my project.
I worked on a canvas board, already pre-gessoed. Generally when I use these canvas board I apply a coat of gesso anyway but, in this case it was not necessary because I used the tissue paper wrap by Tim Holtz to cover the entire surface.
The butterfly that I used and the decorations in the background are chipboard from Gina's Design. These chipboards are fantastic and I recommend you go for a peek in their shop!


The idea I had in mind was a little different from this, I wanted the main color to be Vintage Mint, but then I just started playing with darker tones, as usual!

As written on the ColourArte's Blog , the inspiration for this project comes from some memories that I have when I was a child. I've always been fascinated by butterflies and their evolution, and when I witnessed the hatching of a coccoon...well...I cried so much... but of joy! Also as a child my grandmother always told me to listen to the little voice that I had inside, every time I had a problem I spent days and days to reflect. I was not instinctive at all - (which growing up I instead become, perhaps too much!) and she used to sit near me patting my shoulder and say "do not overthink,just listen to your inner voice".

So "Listen to your Inner Voice" is a project that comes from my heart! At the end if you think about it..,if the caterpillar didn't listen to his inner voice... there would be no butterfly!

Hello Crafters and Happy Sunday!
Today I am over the ColourArte's blog where I show you how to create a simple but effective ATCs Trio!

Those who follow me a little know how much I love the ATC, I find it a spectacular art form, but only in small form!

I show you how to use two different types of acrylic paints, adding texture and how to create from a simple cardboard three perfect creations to exchange with other collectors.


I really like the "shine" although I am a lover of the more matte finish.

The concept of these ATC arises from a need to search "other" outside of a computer.

Hello and Happy Mother's Day!
Today I am over the  ColourArte's blog and I show you a canvas altered "Finnabair style".
Last year I had the pleasure and the honor of attending to one of her classes in Rome ... and it was a unique experience!
I do not think I've "felt" or "experienced" so many emotions in one day alone. Anna is a genuine person, real, gentle but at the same time with a good character and able to convey her emotions through her work.

Having had the opportunity to follow her during her creative process was very constructive and meaningful.
For this project I also decided to use a tool that I didn't use in a long time .... charcoal pencil!


I have not a step by step tutorial for this project, because although I revised and mixed few techniques that she taught us, it did not seem fair to me to create a tutorial process... although I know I made it "mine".

Hello Crafters and Happy Sunday!
I am rocking on the ColourArte's blog today to show you another cardboard altered project!
I have an unbridled passion for butterflies, I really like them a lot and I would put them in any project! When I saw this giant dies from Tim Holtz, I fell in love madly. I had to buy it despite the fact that the same day I had already bought the little ones...lol!!

As soon as I put it in the basket in my mind I had already planned what to do ... as often happens, behind my every project there is an inspirational quote...That for this project is:

Butterflies can not see their wings. They can not see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that aswell.

I used the Radiant Gels and Twinkling H20s for this project .... If you go on the blog you will see the tutorial and the complete list of the materials used.


I love this mix of colors and am glad of the effect obtained. Unfortunately the pictures can not show all the gloss of the butterfly ... but hopefully it makes the idea!

Hello Crafters!
today I will show you another altered panel I made -- to do this altered panel I used products that you can find over Limor Webber's shop.

With this post it starts my new adventure in the Limor Webber Design DT -- I was in this team since a while, but only now I started creating for the blog....and this makes me extremly happy and honored. Who knows me in real life, outside this simple blog, know how much I respect and admire Limor and to be one of her designer makes me truly happy.

Hello Crafters!
Let's start this weeks (yesterday was holiday!) with a brand new project!
Stay still because I know... I used again pink!!! But as our beloved Dyan says, we must love every color, even the one we are not so fancy to use!

So for today's project over Scrappando's blog I used various shades of pink, violet and brown! And without even realizing it, i totally felt in love with this project!

This is a small variation of a project I already did last year and that you can check it out HERE.
As you might notice, the subject is always the same little girl but the contest....is kinda different!

Hello Crafter!
Today over the Scrapiniec.pl blog I will show you a small altered canvas!
Small only because the canvas is really...small!

I used chipboard from the store Scrapiniec.pl and as main stencil I used ART SCREEN by Ann Butler & ClearSnap .

A really easy way to recycle a canvas gone wrong! LOL

I covered the base with some gesso, I did that to partially cover the really bad decoration I did before! Then I added colors with LSG spray and through some stencil by TCW I added some more color.
Finally I used the ART SCREEN by Ann Butler & ClearSnap adding some modeling paste through it.

Hello Crafters!
Today is a very special day for me as I am, for the first time, published on line with the Faber Castell Design Memory Craft. 
You can read how I used Faber Castell Design Memory Craft products to create this canvas over the blog Paper Crafter's Library.
For me of course is an honor and also a huge joy to see my name alongside Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. 
I do not want to sound too cheesy , lol, but these might be small step for someone but for me are really important and huge.

The inspiration for this canvas evolved all around the quote by Jack Canfield I wanted to use. So I embraced my fear to use cold and warm colors together and I created this.

I used these beautiful butterfly from the "Hero Arts Flutterbies" ,  I printed them, colored them and then added to my project. I also used the stencil "Hero Arts Stencil Tile Works" , the stamp set Hero Arts Brush Strokes , gesso, modeling paste, distress inks and some spray by Lindy's stamp gang!
